Henry County Recent Arrest Sources
Think of Henry County as a chain of record holders. The Sheriff's Office, Eminence Police, Campbellsburg Police, or Kentucky State Police can make the arrest. So can another agency with jurisdiction. Once a person is lodged, the booking happens at the Oldham County Detention Center. That jail, known as OCDC, holds people under contract with Henry County. Its roster is the closest official custody list. The jail's site and roster have been returning availability errors. An outage is not proof the service is gone.
The county publishes no hosted 24-hour feed or countywide weekly blotter. Two time windows remain useful, and each answers a different question. Neither one captures every person arrested in Henry County.
| Window | Best source | What it can establish |
|---|---|---|
| Arrests Last 24 Hours | OCDC roster, then agency phone confirmation | Current custody or a very fresh booking, with limits caused by lag, release, and outages |
| Police Blotter | Dated OCDC activity reporting, agency records, and court files | A multi-day trail after a roster entry rolls off, with the activity date and source preserved |
Henry County Arrest Roster Path
The current-custody target is the OCDC inmate roster. The page does not always render, so no promises can be made about its search controls, field layout, update times, or photo policy. A match means "currently listed at OCDC" at the moment you checked. It does not place the arrest in Oldham County or in any named Henry County city.
Record the fields an official result exposes. Never guess at a blank one.
| Search or result field | How to use it |
|---|---|
| Displayed name and identifier | Distinguish people with similar names and preserve the agency’s spelling. |
| Booking date and time | Separate intake from the date a page or news item was posted. |
| Arresting agency | Identify Henry Sheriff, a city police department, KSP, or another agency. |
| Charge and statute | Record the charge as booked, not as a conviction. |
| Bond and custody status | Check whether the person is still held, released, or transferred when shown. |
| Facility and photo indicator | Confirm the holding site and whether an agency image is available. |
Open the roster and note the time. Search the displayed name, then compare identifiers, dates, and the arresting agency listed. If the page fails, call OCDC at 502-222-3500. Ask a narrow current-custody question if no match appears. The Henry County Jiller sits at 502-645-8371, and the Sheriff at 502-845-2909. Ask separately about an arrest that may have ended in release.
Can a missing result prove no arrest happened? No. Release, transfer, and spelling differences can all hide a person. So can a protected record, a different holding site, roster roll-off, or an outage. For release or transfer notice, use the VINELink Custody Check. No Henry County, Kentucky sheriff app exists. A similarly named app should never replace government contacts.
Note: A current roster answers who is listed now; it is not an all-time Henry County arrest archive.
Three Henry County Record Clocks
Henry County activity runs on three separate clocks. The first is the arrest and booking clock. It starts when an agency takes a person into custody and a facility processes them in. The second is the OCDC roster clock, which can change after a release or transfer. The third is the court clock. Arraignment, bond, hearings, dismissal, plea, and trial all get recorded there. The Henry County Court of Justice page names the clerk and court contacts. Kentucky VINE adds a notification clock for custody events. KOOL, the Kentucky Offender Online Lookup, applies later. It covers people who enter state custody or supervision. One source cannot stand in for the others.
The official Kentucky Court of Justice search entry points show where to start. Look there for a case number or a court date.

Check the court screen after the booking check. A case can stay active after the custody roster drops the person.
Where Henry County Arrests Appear
Let official sources lead every search. News and third-party pages can help locate an older item, but they go stale, mislabel people, or copy a case before it changed. In Henry County, always read the arresting-agency field. An OCDC page may carry an Oldham County header even when Henry Sheriff or a Henry city agency made the arrest.
| Channel | Photos | Status and use |
|---|---|---|
| OCDC roster | Not verified during outage | Official current-custody target; confirm live fields. |
| Henry Sheriff or arresting agency | By record decision | Official origin for arrest material it holds. |
| Henry County court record | Not a mugshot feed | Official charge history and later disposition. |
| KOOL | Offender image may appear | Official state corrections source, not a first-booking feed. |
| Oldham Voice | May reproduce OCDC images | Dated local-news mirror, not a government record. |
| Booking aggregators | Often | Unofficial copies; verify facility, agency, date, and outcome. |
The county directory links Henry County Local. It carries no dedicated arrest or mugshot feed. Commercial booking indexes sometimes surface OCDC items, though several lack a distinct Henry County section. Their labels and page depth say nothing about present custody.
The Kentucky Jail Roster Henry County page backs up the contracted-facility arrangement. It is not an official source.

Treat that page as secondary corroboration only. Current custody still demands OCDC or agency confirmation.
Henry County Recent Arrests by City
The city pages cover three places drawn from the 2020 Census incorporated-places table. Not every community appears. Each city leans on the same contracted-custody system in its own way, so the police source and the booking source must stay separate.
- Eminence Recent Arrests: Eminence Police is a municipal arresting agency, while OCDC is the custody target when a person is lodged there.
- New Castle Recent Arrests: Henry County Sheriff provides contracted patrol under the documented city agreement.
- Campbellsburg Recent Arrests: Campbellsburg Police is the city source, with OCDC as the applicable booking destination.
New Castle is the odd one. The 2024 sheriff audit documents contracted patrol. That patrol runs at least 15 hours each week. It also covers monthly city-commission reporting, traffic control, and special-event security. A missing New Castle Police roster is not just a broken city feed. Henry Sheriff is the logical official source for activity under that contract.
The Henry County Services Directory supplies municipal starting points.

The directory helps verify the proper city contact before a records request is sent.
Henry County Arrest Record Fields
A booking marks the moment someone enters the jail. The record that follows can hold far more than a roster line. Which fields exist depends on the agency keeping the file. That could be sheriff, jailer, OCDC, or the court. Ask each office for records it already holds. Offer a narrow date and a name. Skip any request for a custom report.
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Name and booking number | The displayed identity and facility reference. |
| Booking date and time | When intake was recorded, which may differ from arrest or publication. |
| Arresting agency | The agency credited with the arrest, not the holding facility. |
| Charge text | The charge at booking, subject to later court action. |
| Bond | A release condition or amount shown at that stage, if public. |
| Release or transfer | A later custody event when the file includes it. |
| Booking photograph | An intake image if maintained and releasable. |
- Arraignment
- The first court stage where charges and rights are addressed.
- Bond
- A court-set condition that may permit release while a case is pending.
- Disposition
- The case result, such as dismissal, plea, acquittal, or conviction.
- Expungement
- A court process that may restrict eligible records under Kentucky law.
Note: “Booked at OCDC” and “currently held at OCDC” describe different points in the same custody history.
Henry County Mugshots and Photos
A Henry County mugshot is a booking photograph, nothing more. The county hosts no official photo gallery. No booking images are reprinted on these pages either. If the OCDC roster returns, see whether a result displays an image. When it does not, ask whichever office holds the booking file. Ask whether a photo is kept and can be released. Request the photo as its own item. Access rules and redaction can differ from the roster.
KOOL may show an offender image. That happens after a person enters Kentucky DOC custody or supervision. Treat it as a state system, not a Henry County booking list. Federal and immigration locators track other systems. They say nothing about where the original Henry County arrest occurred. A photo copied by a newspaper or aggregator can outlive the live roster. Old copies may lag behind a release, transfer, or expungement.
Why can the same photo remain after release? Copied pages persist after custody ends. Check the official jail and court status before trusting any old caption or charge.
Request Henry County Arrest Records
Start with the official Henry County Open Records Requests page. The sheriff posts no separate electronic form. You will find the Sheriff's Office at 125 N. Property Road, New Castle, KY 40050, or reach it at 502-845-2909. An official listing also shows a second address at 30 N. Main Street, so phone ahead before driving over. When OCDC holds the booking file, work through the Oldham County open-records framework. Ask for the detention custodian there. That office, not Henry County, keeps the detention records you seek.
- Name the person, date range, likely arresting agency, and OCDC if applicable.
- Ask separately for the arrest or booking record, listed public fields, and booking photograph.
- State the preferred format and delivery method. Supply details required by the agency form.
- Ask for a fee estimate and the legal basis of any redaction or denial.
- If the office lacks the record, request the name of the agency that has it.
The Kentucky Open Records Act overview covers the statute. It spans KRS 61.870 through 61.884. Agencies generally answer within five business days. That clock covers the decision, not delivery. A response may invoke lawful delay, cost, redaction, an exemption, or nonexistence, and juvenile, medical, mental-inquest, investigative, and personal identifier material can be restricted. For Henry County arrest records, the county's own request route remains the direct path.

One precise request beats a demand for every Henry County mugshot or a made-to-order report.
Kentucky Arrest Photo Law
Kentucky's open-records law opens agency records to the public. Not every field or image must be released, though. KRS 61.872 governs written requests. KRS 61.878 lists the exemptions. A separate statute, KRS 61.8746, targets commercial publishers that condition removal of booking or inmate photographs on payment or other consideration. Nothing in the law says every booking photo must be disclosed or withheld.
The Kentucky Court of Justice expungement page covers certification, forms, waiting periods, and filing routes. Fees and eligibility hinge on the record and current law. Confirm both with the court. Some dismissals with prejudice and acquittals can qualify for an automatic process under stated conditions. Other cases need a full petition.
An unofficial copy can be wrong, stale, duplicated, restricted, or tied to the wrong person. Save its URL and a screenshot. Contact the originating agency first, then use the publisher's free correction policy with official proof. Never pay a service that promises erasure. Search engines can also keep an old snippet alive. It can persist after its source changes.
Henry County Booking Record Retention
A missing roster page does not mean the record was destroyed. The Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives sets a retention period for each record series. Its county jailer schedule keeps the jail register and inmate record file. Photographs stay in that file for five years after release. Daily jail logs and special reports get five years too. Periodic DOC reports get two. Non-evidentiary booking recordings may fall away far sooner.
Those schedules bind the agency, not the web. A public page can vanish on its own schedule. Name the series you want in any request. That could be jail register, inmate file, daily log, booking photo, or recording. If an office says a file no longer exists, press for details. Which series was it, and which authorized disposition applied? The KDLA local records schedules are the official archive starting point. Use them for Henry County record questions.
Note: Court records follow court schedules, so an older Henry County case may require a separate clerk request.
Henry County Arrest Warrants
Henry County publishes no open public warrant search. Kentucky eWarrants greets visitors with an authorized-user login, and CourtNet offers case information that lags behind real time. Neither works as a complete public wanted list. If a warrant may affect you, reach an attorney, the Henry County Sheriff, or the court clerk through a verified number and arrange a lawful response.
The sheriff's social page has carried wanted notices before. Posts get edited, removed, or simply go stale over time. An old notice proves nothing about a warrant today. Never approach someone named in a notice. For immediate danger, call 911.
The Kentucky eWarrants page shows the login wall that keeps the portal from serving as an open Henry warrant database.

Official confirmation keeps an old social post or copied listing from masquerading as current warrant status.
Henry County Arrest Count Context
Sheriff activity in Henry County shows up in fiscal minutes as monthly totals. There is no live booking roster. The October 2023 report counted 33 criminal arrests and 16 warrant arrests. August 2024 came in lower. That report listed 21 criminal arrests plus 15 warrant arrests. Both reports also break out citations and summonses, DUI and drug arrests, court processes, KSP dispatch calls, and sheriff calls.
These are agency-wide counts. They cannot tell you who was held at OCDC. Mixing them with city or state figures can invite real errors. The categories are defined differently. Their real value is context: Henry Sheriff records hold an operational trail that sits apart from jail intake and court dockets.
After a Henry County Arrest
Booking is only the start. Afterward a person may be released on bond. They might be held for a hearing. Some are transferred or handed to another custodian. The court path becomes visible at arraignment. From there, entries can show amended charges, dismissal, a plea, acquittal, or conviction. Pair the booking record with the most recent court entry before you assume anything.
KOOL serves as Kentucky DOC's official source for anyone in state custody or supervision. It is not built for tracking each new Henry County arrest. Federal custody calls for the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator. Immigration detention uses the ICE detainee locator. A detainer, meanwhile, is simply a request or notice. It affects where a person is held. Each locator answers a different question, so check the right system for the right stage.
