Check Henry County VINELink

A VINELink Henry County custody check tracks one person by name after an arrest, and it can send alerts when that person is released or moved. Kentucky VINE runs statewide, around the clock. It is not a Henry County arrest feed. It is not a court record either. Results can lag behind a fresh booking, so pair it with the contracted jail and the agency that made the arrest. Think of it as a notification layer, not a list of who was arrested in Henry County.

Henry County VINELink Coverage

VINE stands for Victim Information and Notification Everyday. Kentucky calls its version Enhanced VINE. It is a free and anonymous service that runs 24 hours a day across local jails, adult correctional facilities, mental-health facilities, and other qualifying custody sources. That reach makes it worth a check after a Henry County arrest. Henry County books its detainees at Oldham County Detention Center.

Henry County publishes no dedicated VINE feed of its own. OCDC does not list one either. So read any result as a Kentucky custody status at the moment you searched. It is not proof of who made the arrest. A blank result does not clear a person of a recent booking. Transport delays can hide a match. So can slow data entry, a facility transfer, a name mismatch, a protected record, or lag on the source side.

The Kentucky DOC VINE information page explains this statewide layer in the state's own words:

Kentucky Department of Corrections VINE information page

That state DOC page lays out the program itself. The live custody search lives on VINELink.

Search Henry County Custody

Start at the official VINELink entry point. Keep another person's sensitive details off unrelated sites. The interface can change, so follow whatever labels appear on screen rather than assuming a fixed county selector.

  1. Select Kentucky as the jurisdiction. If a facility choice appears, use the custody location supported by the record instead of forcing Henry County.
  2. Enter the person’s displayed name or offender identifier. Try documented name forms when the first search has no match.
  3. Compare all available identifiers before choosing among similar names. Do not rely on a photograph alone.
  4. Read the custody state, facility, and update information. Save the retrieval date and time with the result.
  5. When the result is relevant, use the registration option for the events and delivery methods offered.

No internet? Call the statewide search at 1-800-511-1670, where an operator answers around the clock. The Kentucky brochure also lists TTY 1-866-847-1298. Both channels help when the website is down or a caller needs help working through a match.

The VINELink search page is the official starting interface:

The image shows the search source only. It carries no Henry County subject result and says nothing about local participation.

Henry VINELink Result Fields

Anonymous users can receive custody status and release information, Kentucky says, plus the current jail or institution location and its phone number when available. Exact fields vary by the source feeding VINE. Treat any missing value as unknown.

Result fieldWhat it can establish
Displayed nameThe name used by the contributing custody system.
Offender identifierA stronger way to separate people with similar names.
Custody statusThe status reported to VINE as of its update.
FacilityThe reported current jail or institution, not the arrest location.
Facility phoneA channel for direct verification when supplied.
Release informationA reported event or status, subject to system timing.
Notification optionsThe event types and contact methods currently offered.

VINE decides nothing. Not the charge, not the bond, not the case outcome. The arresting agency holds the incident record. The jail holds its custody record, and the Henry County court holds the disposition. Keep those records separate rather than merging them into one undated claim.

Register Henry County Custody Alerts

Registration turns a one-time check into an ongoing notice path. Kentucky materials describe a four-digit PIN. There is room for multiple phone numbers and email addresses. Notices may arrive by phone, email, text, in-app message, or TTY, depending on current options. Watched events include release, transfer, and escape.

  1. Confirm the correct person and custody record before selecting registration.
  2. Choose the available events that matter, such as release or transfer.
  3. Add the offered phone or email channels. Do not use a facility switchboard as the notification number.
  4. Create a four-digit PIN that can be recalled when an automated call arrives.
  5. Answer calls and enter the PIN as directed so the system can record acknowledgment.

Jail-release calls repeat every 30 minutes. That pace holds for 24 hours, or until the PIN is acknowledged, per the Attorney General. Kentucky instructions tell users to keep repeating the PIN for at least 24 hours. Those instructions warn that calls can come at any hour. Adding several contact methods cuts the risk. One dead phone no longer means a missed notice.

The Kentucky Attorney General VINE page covers registration and safety from an official source:

VINE Is Henry’s Alert Layer

What sets VINE apart is the alert, not a public list of recent arrests. OCDC's roster answers the present-custody question when it is reachable. An arrest report names the originating agency. VINE watches a participating custody record and waits for change. Court records then settle what becomes of the case.

That separation matters here because Henry County contracts out its detention. Henry County Sheriff, Eminence Police, Campbellsburg Police, and KSP all make arrests here. Someone they arrest may be lodged at OCDC. A result may name an Oldham facility. That does not move the arrest to Oldham County. Nor does it mean every Henry booking hits the system at the same speed.

Safety limit: VINE is a notification aid, not a guarantee of personal safety. Release may occur with little warning, and data-entry or transfer lag can delay a notice.

If a release creates immediate risk, lean on a safety plan, a victim advocate, an attorney, or emergency services. The Kentucky Office of Victim Services lists 502-564-5061, toll-free 877-687-6818, and VSB.help@ky.gov for notification help.

Verify a Fresh Henry Booking

A brand-new booking rarely shows up in VINE right away. So double-check. Try the OCDC roster first, then call OCDC at 502-222-3500. Henry County Jailer Scott Southworth is listed at 502-645-8371. The Henry County Sheriff's Office is listed at 502-845-2909. Ask two things: who is in custody now, and whether a booking has already come and gone.

Write down the time of each search. A blank result means only "no matching VINE result found" at that moment. Say nothing firmer. No Henry-hosted feed can give a complete same-day answer. The Henry County Arrests Last 24 Hours route explains why, for Henry County recent arrests and same-day results.

For a lasting arrest record, send a focused request to Henry County or the proper OCDC custodian. List the name, the date span, the likely arresting agency, and the record sought. VINE was never built to hand out arrest reports, booking photographs, or an all-time history.

Note: A VINE status changes fast. So confirm urgent custody questions directly with the facility or agency listed.

Federal and Juvenile Boundaries

Kentucky VINE stops at the county line. It is not a federal custody database. For someone in federal prison, use the official Bureau of Prisons Inmate Locator. The Federal Victim Notification System is a separate notice route. Immigration detention has its own ICE locator. A Henry County arrest can later turn federal, so label the current custodian accurately.

Federal Victim Notification System page separate from Kentucky VINELink

Never treat the federal system as a substitute. It cannot replace Kentucky VINELink or a Henry County jail roster. Juvenile records fall outside these tools or follow different rules entirely. A missing juvenile result proves nothing about release or arrest. Restricted personal data should not be sought or published.

Interpret Henry Custody Changes

Release, transfer, and escape are three different notice events. Release means the source reports custody ended under the status shown. Transfer means the person moved to a new custodian. Escape is urgent and gets reported by the source itself.

Booking
Facility intake following an arrest.
Custody
The person’s reported confinement status at a given time.
Transfer
A move from one custodian or facility to another.
Disposition
The court’s recorded outcome of the case.

Once sentenced into state custody, a person may surface in Kentucky Offender Online Lookup. KOOL is not the original booking source for Henry County. A released person can drop off a current roster while an arrest report and court case still sit on file.
